Parlez - The Streetwear Label With a Sustainability Mission
Established in 2012, Parlez is a Bristol, UK based contemporary streetwear brand which takes large amounts of inspiration from sport and nautical aesthetics. The brand was founded by the Bristol based duo, Cav and Will, and is still directed by them to this day.
Over the years Parlez has developed a strong following for their embroidered t-shirts inspired by vintage sportswear designs, maritime history and their local city surroundings.
The Parlez collections usually consist of streetwear and urban essentials, like t-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies. Taking the minimalist approach to design touches with unique subtle embroidered designs.
Over the years Parlez as a brand has been improving on their output and ethos, learning more about the damaging effects of the gargantuan fashion industry the brand has been motivated to take the route of making as many environmentally friendly and sustainable choices as possible.
2021 saw a great milestone for the company as they successfully changed over all t-shirt manufacturing to GOTS Certified Organic Cotton, and by the year 2023 the brand aims to solely manufacture all clothing using organic, recycled and sustainable fabrics. With this aim in mind, the brand is definitely one to watch and pay respect to.
Below we will run through some of the staple pieces that best display the brand, and some of their newer pieces.
Starting off with something that definitely signifies the subtlety of Parlez’s designs is the Parlez Cutter T-shirt. This particular version is in the Navy Blue colourway, but it also comes in a crisp White and the ever popular Black.
This classic T-shirt construction is crafted from a premium 100% cotton, with a traditional ribbed crew neck.
Taking the center of the chest is the Parlez coordinate design, embroidered in a soft Coral thread to add a significant touch that still remains subtle.
Continuing the coordinate design theme, is the Parlez Farr Quarter Zip Sweatshirt. The quarter zip design will always stay in fashion. With set-in sleeves, the classic quarter zip closure, and the stylistic addition of a herringbone tape across the chest with the Parlez coordinates design.
